This workshop is for you if you want to:
– Learn how to find your base / feel stable
– Find strength in your upper body / core
– Move away from the wall
-Stop thinking ‘I’ll never do that!’
This workshop is led by our wonderful Nicola. One of her favourite moments as a teacher is the AHA! moment, where something clicks for someone and you see joy on their face; there’s no one way to work towards a Headstand, so we will be exploring different options for all our different bodies and abilities.
So what can you expect
⭐️ step by step – creating the base
⭐️ how to breathe into the movements
⭐️ looking at two styles – Tripod and Bound Headstand to assess the best for YOU to start with
⭐️ the muscles used and how to stack joints and bones for stability and greater ease
⭐️ advice and help with self practice strengthening & flexibility
⭐️ what to work on ‘in class’ when the pose is cued
⭐️ individual tips and feedback
At no point will anyone be expected to do something they aren’t ready for.

A chair or sofa cushion / pillow

A phone to record your alignment (optional but oh so helpful)
