Our new 30 Day Challenge
Are you wondering how to step your practice up another notch? Well why not join us in HYH's 30 Day Challenge. We have been influenced by 3 students- Sapna, Somu and Khimji to introduce this to the studio after they successfully came for 30 consecutive days and have never felt any better from the mental and physical challenge. If this sounds daunting, don't worry. Here is how it works: complete 30 classes in 30 days. You can do as many doubles as you like per week. Any class (60, 75 or 90 minutes or Flow75) counts towards your goal, this gives you ultimate schedule flexibility. Participation will be tallied on our 30 Day Challenge board. Click here for the full timetable.
Yogis who complete the challenge will be awarded with a fabulous selection of goodies including guest passes and a "HYH 30 Day Challenge" t-shirt.
The challenge is available to everyone that has a 30 day membership. Click here for all membership options or ask a member of staff for details.
What we are Enjoying this Month - Infused Water
This month's top yogi trend has got to be infused water! So effortless but delicious and visually stunning. Infused water gives you all the taste benefits of flavoured drinks without the sugar and calories. Plus they are super hydrating and fun to experiment with. Simply chop up fruit, pop it into your water bottle, top up with water and, for best flavour sensation, chill in the fridge overnight. Top combinations include: strawberry, basil and cucumber; pineapple with mint or lemon, orange and blueberry. You can even use sparkling water as a super alternative to fizzy drinks!
With the longer nights setting in, it is even more important to include yoga in your wellness routine. Yoga can help us make everyday a positive one, despite what may have happened at work or whether it is raining outside. "Views From the Podium" is a blog written by a hot yoga teacher and is full of inspiring, life-affirming yogic wisdom to keep you going when you don't quite fancy getting up for the 06.15 class...
Pose... And Snap!
A yogic shout out to Sandhya Kumar who sent us this picture from on deck while in Montenegro! It's great to see that you packed your yoga when you went on holiday!
If you have any yoga pics in stunning locations that you want to share, drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Yogi of the Month
This month we would like to give a big round of applause to Khimji, who was voted unanimously by staff to be September's y.o.t.m! Since joining the studio in late June, Khimji has attended 69 out of 70 classes and at 74 years old- this is a massive achievement, which is shown, not only by the improvement in his practice, but the smile on his face!
Just a little note for all yogis. The doors of HYH will remain closed until 30 minutes before class; this is so we can ensure that the studio is looking it's best for you all. If you arrive super early, please take a seat and relax before your class.
We are continually looking for ways to make improvements so please keep passing on your feedback. We have a comments book at reception, or our friendly staff are always willing to hear your feedback. We have lots of exciting things happening in September so watch this space!
